Nashville DUI Lawyer Carla Grebert Completes training

DUI Attorney Carla Grebert completed and passed National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (“NHTSA”) DUI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Course on March 9, 2024.

This is the exact training given to law enforcement officers to learn how to investigate DUI cases and administer and interpret field sobriety tests.

The three-day course focuses on the factors that police are trained to take into account when making the decision to charge an individual with DUI.  It also includes detailed training on the standardized field sobriety tests.

To pass the course, Carla had to pass a written test and also had to earn a 100% on the performance test that focused on the three most-used roadside sobriety tests:  the horizontal gaze nystagmus (HGN) test, the walk-and-turn test, and the one-leg stand test.

Often police do not properly administer and/or interpret these tests.  Being NHTSA certified means that Carla can better evaluate your DUI arrest and the validity and accuracy of the tests used against you.  This can be powerful evidence in your defense.
